The Invoice & Receipt Generator is a free, browser-based tool that turns line items into a polished invoice or receipt PDF without any account or upload. You fill in your details, the client, and each line (description, quantity, unit price), and it auto-calculates subtotal, flat discount, tax, and total in real time across 10 templates. Everything runs locally in your tab — client names and amounts never leave your device, and your draft is saved in your browser.

How to use Invoice & Receipt Generator

  1. Pick Invoice or Receipt with the toggle, then set the document number, date, and currency symbol.
  2. Fill in the From (your name/business) and Bill to (client) fields, including address, email, or phone in the detail boxes.
  3. Add each line item with a description, quantity, and unit price; click "Add line" for more rows — the line amount (Qty × Price) is calculated for you.
  4. Enter a tax rate percentage and/or a flat discount, then check the live Subtotal, Discount, Tax, and Total summary.
  5. Choose one of the 10 templates and add any notes; watch the live preview update on the right.
  6. Click "Save as PDF" and pick "Save as PDF" as the destination in your browser's print dialog.

Click "Save as PDF," which opens your browser's print dialog, then choose "Save as PDF" as the destination. The document is rendered as real HTML, so the exported text stays selectable.
How are the totals calculated?
The subtotal is the sum of each line's quantity times unit price. The flat discount is subtracted first, then the tax rate is applied to the discounted amount, and everything is rounded to two decimal places.
Can I use it for invoices and receipts in any currency?
Yes. A toggle switches between Invoice and Receipt, and you can type any currency symbol (up to 3 characters), so it works for dollars, euros, pounds, or other currencies.
Will my work be there when I come back?
Yes. The invoice data and your chosen template are saved automatically in your browser's local storage, so your draft reloads when you reopen the tool on the same device and browser.
